Happy Thanksgiving: Open Thread and Television Schedule

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. May the holiday be festive, may your travels be safe, may your health be hale and well, and may your belt need to be unfastened before a sofa nap that somehow turns into a three-hour snooze.

For those blessed with life’s treasures, it is a chance to reflect on your fortune. And, may even those facing the most uphill of climbs once again know the almost-reflexive feelings of gratitude, of kindness, of love, of charity and kith. Hang in there; life is a storm, but “clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”

Those who have suffered loss, know that you’re not alone. But the presence of those departed loved ones enriched your life in measure, large and small. No man is an island, and though gone, they live on within the person you are or hope to become.

Feel free to ruminate on Thanksgiving, what you’re grateful for, the annual absurdity of the Egg Bowl, the NFL games, or anything else that strikes your fancy. We’ll be back tomorrow with our regular programming.
