It’s the end of the regular season (Army-Navy notwithstanding), so I’m doing every team from the bottom to the top. Alabama has shuffled around the bottom of the top ten and is basically still floating down there. A win against Georgia next week will give us enough pts in my ratings system to be somewhere between 4-6 depending on what everyone else does. Mine doesn’t care if you one a championship game or not, so Ohio St will probably still be in the top 4 after next week. Once the playoffs get going and the final four’s SOS kicks up, they’ll probably end up around 4th or 5th (this year in particular, I can’t this going any other way but: 1) Undefeated P5 Conference Champions 2) 1-loss Conference Champions 3) 1-loss P5 Non-Champions 4) 2-Loss P5 Conference Champions. It’s really that simple. All the shuffling after that is a combination of quality wins and head to head matchups. Does it suddenly make sense why we’re sitting at 8 below Texas?
